High-risk PCI

Dr. Fahed is an interventional cardiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital specialized in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and stent placement for coronary artery disease. He performs modern high-quality PCI with regular use of intravascular imaging and physiology to optimize stent placement, shown to improve patient outcomes.  He also performs complex high-risk indicated percutaneous coronary interventions (CHIP-PCI) to treat people with advanced age, chronic renal failure, previous coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and compromised cardiac function. He performs procedures such as left main and multivessel PCI, mechanical circulatory support such as Impella, treatment of severe calcification, and ultra-low contrast interventions to preserve renal function.
